News / 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence in 2024
This year WHGNE’s campaign theme for 16 Days is ‘How to turn awareness into action’, because we, like people across our region, want to take practical steps to stop gender-based violence from happening in the first place. We’ve developed a resource with advice and tips on how to translate your knowledge of this problem into action for change – whether it be in a workplace, community, educational or social setting. You can check it out below:
This resource builds on WHGNE’s suite of work around preventing gender-based violence, because we believe that the depth and breadth of the impacts of gender-based violence necessitate long-term, consistent and collective action to change social and cultural norms and enact systemic change.
We’re continuing the ‘awareness to action’ theme throughout our 16 Days of Activism campaign – you can watch the video on coercive control that has been posted to our socials and also check out free the Awareness to Action e-learning course.
