News / 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence in 2024
This year WHGNE’s campaign theme for 16 Days is ‘How to turn awareness into action’, because we, like people across our region, want to take practical steps to stop gender-based violence from happening in the first place. We’re developing a resource with advice and tips on how to translate your knowledge of this problem into action for change – whether it be in a workplace, community, educational or social setting.
This resource will build on WHGNE’s suite of work around preventing gender-based violence, because we believe that the depth and breadth of the impacts of gender-based violence necessitate long-term, consistent and collective action to change social and cultural norms and enact systemic change.
If you would like to go more in-depth into what the 16 Days of Activism campaign is all about, you can check out our free e-learning course on the Gender Equity E-LEARNING HUB:
