This fact sheet, compiled by WHGNE, collates the facts around abortion in Australia.

Women’s Health Goulburn North East acknowledge the wisdom, living culture and connection of the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live, learn, work and play. We value and are deeply grateful for the ongoing contributions of First Nations communities and their care of the country, waterways and skies over tens of thousands of years. We acknowledge that Women’s Health Goulburn North East was founded on unceded lands. We acknowledge the profound and ongoing disruption that colonisation, the Stolen Generations, and violence against women has on First Nations women, and work to dismantle gender inequality that impacts First Nations women disproportionately. We work with great care both within our organisation and with our communities to address the multi-faceted factors that impact First Nations people, and particularly First Nations women, to address systemic racism and oppression in our region and further afield. We know that all forms of oppression are linked, and that gender equality cannot be achieved without also addressing racism. We are honoured to stand beside generations of great women whose work has brought us closer to equality for all.
